Build Australia is a movement and mindset shift to shake this country out of stagnation. Our mission is to reignite Australian industry, creativity, and ambition. We aim to empower our nation's builders with belief, while pushing for an Australia where innovation and entrepreneurship can flourish.
Our vision
The new Australian dream must be bigger: a nation that makes things, that exports ideas, not just resources, that builds companies and culture the world admires, and that leaves future generations with greater prosperity. Our goal
We acknowledge our growth engine has stalled, and our culture is divided. Our goals are for Australia to:
- Achieve 5% real GDP per capita growth by 2035
- Increase the number of businesses created

Bias to Building
Pessimism is easy and plentiful. Building is hard. We choose hard.
Less rent-seeking, more risk taking
We back the people creating value, not extracting it. We reject tall-poppy syndrome and champion those who back themselves and their fellow Australians.
Restore the Fair Go
Egalitarianism and hard yakka are fading to nostalgia. We must revive them as principles of a culture that shares its prosperity.
Dream bigger
We don't let the unimaginative control the narrative. We inspire Australians to dream bigger, and support each other through risky endeavours.
Not Left or Right, but forward
We are tired of short-term thinking, division, and spin from both sides. We stand for truth-telling, even when uncomfortable.
Australian and proud
Many Australians are no longer proud of our country. We must restore national cohesion through transparency, optimism, and ambition.

Is Build Australia politically-affiliated?
No. Build Australia is explicitly non-partisan. We are not aligned with any political party, faction or candidate. We are not a thinktank nor formal lobbying organisation. We are a movement for all who believe Australia can be better, and that a stronger future will come from building more of what matters: companies, industries, infrastructure, culture and capability.
We care about outcomes. If a good idea helps Australia become more productive, ambitious and prosperous, we are interested in it.
How are donations used?
Build Australia (Society for the Enhancement of Australian Prosperity Inc.) is a registered not-for-profit and charitable organisation. 100% of donations help us build and run the movement from digital infrastructure, to community activities, operations and more.
As Build Australia grows, we will be clear about how support is used and to direct resources toward work that expands our impact and helps more Australians get involved.
What does Build Australia do?
Build Australia is at the beginning of its journey. We will be hosting events, publishing essays and content, empowering builders, and launching our own projects and initiatives. Sign up to our newsletter for updates or let us know if you're keen to get involved.

How are you funded?
Build Australia is funded by donations, merchandise, and supporters who proudly display the Build Australia flag. If you would like to support us, please donate here or head to our store.
What is your goal?
Our initial goals are to plant a flag around this much-needed change in mindset, and to get Australians discussing openly and earnestly the need to build. This building must take many forms - we need more people starting companies, restoring national pride, and advocating for actions that lead to structural change.
How do I join the movement?
Anyone who wants to be a part of Build Australia is welcome. We acknowledge that patriotism has different meanings for each Australian, but are optimistic we can build a more unified and capable country, together.
We'll be hosting a wide range of activities, many of which will present opportunities for people of all skills and backgrounds to get directly involved.
